With the development of science, the situation of home and out has changed a lot. The information technology is rising and internet is popularized gradually so this puts forward new challenge for the undergraduates ideological and political education work. With the continued enrollment expansion of college in 1998, the scale of running a school is bigger and bigger, the same as the students in music major. The number of music major students is also growing, the music specialty has been offered in many colleges. So the ideological and political education and management work to music major students are also attention by people gradually, because of this, the administrative staffs in music department have more challenges. Nowadays in academia the research on the art undergraduates’ ideological and political education and the management work is rarely especially a systematic research on music major students.This paper insists combine the theory with practice, starting from the music college students’ ideological and political education of the actual effect of the basic theory, through the analysis of the current problems of music of students’ ideological and political effectiveness of the current situation and the difficulties, this paper found that at present, music class of the present situation of college students’ideological and political effectiveness embodied in the classroom education in music class:college students’ ideological and political education has been in the leading role. Qualities of students majored in music has been promoted a lot. It expands the ideological and political education of the other activity areas for these students. Students’ Ideological and political education for team construction into these results are satisfactory, but at the same time, we also found some unavoidable issue, the impact of the students’ ideological and political education of timeliness. These include:classroom education effectiveness should be strengthened; Parts of the ideological quality of students majored in music are low; Music class in college students’ ideological and political education of daily existence problem; Parts of the ideological and political workers should improve their qualities, and so onAccording to the present situations and existing problems, this research has put forward the countermeasures.
