Social Interaction In The Virtual Community

The development of the Internet, extended the intercourse platform and the way of the communication, is also becoming an important part of our daily life. This study,which making the "network communication"as the theme selecting the virtual community-Speculative Forum as a case study, uses the method of in-depth interviews and participatory observation to collect data. From a microcosmic level,it describes the contents and characteristics of the communication behavior in the virtual community, as well as the sense of community which is constructed by a variety of communication behavior in the long-term community interaction. The study finds:The communication behavior in the virtual community includes three kinds:self presentation、 discussion and exchange、dating behavior, self presentation is mainly reflected in three aspects: Forum nicknames, personal information and forum posting; community discussion includesfv: information sharing, discussion, cooperation and emotional interaction; dating behavior relates to dating behavior in the community as well as dating behavior extending to other network, even line dating behavior.Different behaviors are not completely independent, but interrelated; In the continuous interaction, memberrs get community identity through classification and comparison, members consciousness increases ceaselessly,community and community attachment are generated,as a result,different sense of community is constructed in this process and reflected through the behavior of the members. All of these make social interaction in the virtual community showing a rich content.
