The Relationships Among Communication Pattern Of Marriage, Marital Quality And Mental Health Style

This study aimed at exploring the mental health style of Chinese and therelationships among communication pattern of marriage, marital quality and mentalhealth style. With499Chinese adults as objects, this study initially discussed theapplicability of <<mental healthy style questionnaire>>(MHSQ) in adults, andanalysed the characteristics of mental health in contemporary adults. Secondly, bymeans of ENRICH, this study surveyed the marital quality of contemporary adults fromdifferent perspectives, and attempted to predict their marital quality with MHSQ.Finally, seeing the marital quality as mediated variable, this part discussed the effect ofcommunication pattern of marriage on mental health style with Structural EquationModeling.The resulted showed:(1) It has fine reliability and validity about MHSQ in adults,in which MHNFQ is0.964about the coefficient of internal consistency and alldimensions is between0.739-0.888about the coefficient, in which MHPFQ is0.976about the coefficient and all dimensions is between0.780-0.934about thecoefficient.There are statistical differences about mental health style in differenteconomic levels and different cultural degrees in contemporary adults.(2) Incontemporary adults, there are statistical differences about marital quality in differenteconomic levels and different cultural degrees; the correlation between mental healthstyle and marital quality is significantly positive; and five mental health style factorscan significantly predict marriage quality, which are harmony、 resiliance、 happy、open、 and go into the secularity.(3) Results show that communication pattern ofmarriage plays an important role, which can influence mental health style in marriage.
