The Survey Of The Marriage Quality Of Some Colleges Students' Parents In Zhengzhou

ObjectiveTo understand the situation on the quality of marriage of the college students' parents, the investigation on the subjective quality of marriage was carried out. Meanwhile, this study is hoped to discuss the related factors that cause the differences and evaluate the effects of the factors on the marriage quality through comparing and analyzing the differences among the marriage resources of the college students' parents. In this study, the data was dealt with statistical analysis of correlation, rank sum test to analyze the correlation relationship between the quality of marriage and its influence factors, the correlation between individual marriage resource and the mental health condition as well as the correlation between mental health condition and the quality of marriage. Researching the interrelationships among individual marriage resource, the quality of marriage, and the mental health status is beneficial for the spouses to establish harmonious relationship. At the same time, it has a great of realistic significance of setting theoretical basis for the students'view on love and marriage.MethodsWith the methods of literature review, the international SCL-90 (self-evaluation questionnaire of psychological health) and the marriage quality questionnaire, this paper studies the background and the main research results home and abroad for further survey and analysis of the marriage resources, the quality of marriage and the mental health status of the college students'parents. Based on the research data and the related scales in the past, this study systematically analyzes and compares the marriage resources, the mental health status and the quality of marriage of college students' parents and their interrelationship.Results1 The results shows that the marital stability and happiness are significantly related with the income level, healthy status, the different sexual attitudes of husband and wife, the harmony with the surrounding people, the attitude towards child's education, marrying age and the attitude toward family relations which are related factors of the quality of marriage.2 There is statistical significance between the above influencing factors of urban and rural groups (P<0.05). In addition, there is statistical significance between the marital stability and happiness of urban and rural groups (P<0.05)3 There is not statistically significance on the cognition of marital stability and happiness between urban and rural groups, so the perceptions and attitudes toward marital stability and happiness of urban and rural couples are consistent (P>0.05) There is statistical significance between the marital stability and happiness of urban and rural couples (P<0.05), so we can see that marital stability and happiness of urban couples are better than rural couples'.ConclusionsThe evaluation marks by self on the quality of marriage of college students' parents are above average. The income of couples, healthy status, sexual harmony, interpersonal relations, the attitude toward children and the handling of family relationship are the correlative factors of the quality of marriage and significantly correlated with the quality of marriage. On the whole, the evaluation marks on the quality of marriage from rural couples are higher than that of urban couples. The evaluation marks on health condition, quality of sleep, mental health status, feelings of fear and aloneness of rural couples are higher than that of urban couples. Individual marriage resources, quality of marriage and physical and mental health are closely interconnected as a whole and all of them influence each other.
