The Research And Design Of Support And Service System For Ed.M Graduation Project(Thesis)

The Ed.M degree has played a positive role in the reform of elementary education and teacher professional development since our country begin setting up and enrolling the degree in 1997. Now, the education of Ed.M enters a fast development period,which in the meantime shows new changes,new trends and some new problems, especially since the policy of full-time Ed.M and Free normal school students is promulgated.Overall,the quality for Ed. M program has been challenged in the new period.As a key link of Ed. M program,the quality of Ed. M thesis reflects the quality of Ed. M education.But because master of educations must do their regular work during they completing thesises,they encounters numerous obstacles which common masters don’t have,such as instructor’s guidance is insufficiency,the communication between students and teachers is inadequate,sharing resource is irrealizable and so on.The Advantages of IT in interpersonal communication,resource sharing,automation management has brought new ideas to soluting these problems.So I think that building a support and service system for Ed.M graduationproject (thesis) can solve these problems,in order to improving the performance of Ed.M completing their thesises.On the basis of the literature analysis, in this study the author firstly elaborated the concepts and research status of Ed.M degree, Ed.M graduation project (thesis) and systems supporting Ed.M completing their thesises;secondly surveyed the current situation of in-post the Ed.M graduation project (thesis) in our country and analysed the necessity & feasibility of constructing an online supported system;thirdly proposed an online supported system model after refinement of the process of Ed.M completing their thesises;finally designed and developed the system;moreover,the system was used in the practice of Ed.M education in order to verify the effectiveness of the system.Studies have shown that the IT environment provides a strong support for Ed.M completing graduation project (thesis).The system played a large effect to improve performance,especially it provides a space for exchange,resource sharing and the instructor guiding and managing the design process.This not only brings a new way to the cultivation of Ed.M in the information technology environment,but also carrys out active exploration on how to use IT to support the Ed.M completing graduation project (thesis).
