The sports stars have been on the top of internet, TV, newspaper and other mediaas sports industry and the media system growing tremendously along with the adventof network times, plus their great personal magnetism, they have become the mainobject of worship for the public. However, in the time of gaining both fame andwealth, the sport stars should take up their social responsibility as well, to returnsociety and serve the country. Due to their great and universal appeal, behaviors of thesport stars can cause some people’s attention and emulate to some extent. With theencouraging of those sport stars assuming social responsibility actively, there will bemore and more people doing that, which also can help developing a harmonious andpeaceful society. However, there are plenty of sports stars are out of the track of beinggood examples for the society, some of them refuse to take social responsibility, someof them even go against the morality and law, which will inevitability cause badeffects on society and irreparable consequences.Through document-data method, case analyzes method and logical analysisstudies, this article studied about social responsibility of sports stars. First, itdiscussed the social responsibilities on the basis of defining sports star and socialresponsibility. At the macroscopic perspective view, a sports star should havepolitical, economic, culture and legal responsibility as an ordinary citizen. At themicro point of view, a sports star should have ethical, commonweal, andleadership responsibilities. It the analyzed the situation of their fulfilling of socialresponsibility afterwards, and found out the problems when sports stars carrying outtheir duties, then gave some suggestions in the end.
