Since the Reform and Opening-up turned up thirty years ago, with economic globalization and in-depth development of Chinese market economy, Chinese social life has turned upside down, people’s material living standards have markedly improved, the spirit of life has been becoming richer and richer, the people’s social and psychological profound has changed also, especially for the students who were born and are growing during this period, they have active thinking, significant personality, and they are self-confident, good at expressing themselves, also they are aggressive and active to pursuit of the values of their life. But at the same time, college students’social experience is pool. Their physiology is mature, while their psychology is still not mature. While facing the complex and volatile environment, students behave irresponsibly, such as they do not care about their own physical and mental health, suicide, decline the morality, have a weak awareness of the law, self-awareness and a lack of self-acceptance of their own. The lack of the awareness of the self-responsibility of contemporary college students has become a prominent educational issue. This article can be explained from the following aspects:The part of the introduction describes the purpose, significance, present research situations, research ideas, purposes, objects and methods of the topics of this article;The first chapter discusses the basic concepts and contents of students’ self awareness of responsibility. The main purpose of this chapter is to start from the origin and meaning of the word responsibility, to define the concepts of college students’self-awareness of responsibility, sense of responsibility and self-responsibility, to make sure the contents of the self-responsibility for university students, including self-love, self-esteem, self-discipline, self-improvement, and to describe the contact and difference of college students’sense of self-responsibility and awareness of social responsibility, students’self sense of responsibility and self-interest.The second chapter examines the status of contemporary college students’ sense of responsibility by the questionnaires that are in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center. This part also makes some understanding and reflection on the education of college students’self awareness of responsibility in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center. This part also learns about the present education situations of college students’self responsibility through in-depth questionnaire investigation to contemporary college students’ self-responsibility in all aspects of the phenomenon of their understanding and lack of the status of college education in the sense of self responsibility of the students’, and through the methods of talking with college students and asking experts for advice. Its outstanding performances have the following aspects:the content and form of the responsibility education is not closely with the actual contact, and there is a lack of a systematic theory of self-awareness of responsibility education, and the teachers are lack of the sense of responsibility educating, and so on. Finally, it analyzes the causes of the problems of students’self sense of responsibility, mainly from two aspects of internal and external causes to discuss. The external factor includes the influence of social environment, cultural environment, family environment, higher education. The internal factors explore from the college students’cognitive ability, personality characteristics and social experience.The third chapter is based on the students’self status of a sense of responsibility and its higher education status, this part is to discuss the countermeasures in a higher education to the college students’self-awareness of responsibility. It mainly has the following aspects:first, to guide students to establish a correct outlook on life, values and worldview; second, to optimize the educational content and methods; third, to respect the subjectivity of students, adhere to the combination of education and self-education. The fourth is to strengthen the quality of the teachers, to enhance teachers’educational function; the fifth is to improve students’ ability to adapt to the social environment and international changes.
