His forehand and backhand are in balanced strength. What he should pay attention to is keep harmony of rough and firm, for too fierce in attack may result in meaningless losses, even psychological changes. Ma Long is weak in forehand interposition near-net ball, especially forehand picking.2Zhang Jike has superiority in inverse spin serve. He is active and strong in serve-then-attack and rally. He has great advantages in backhand side twist, which is fast and abrupt.3Boll has evident advantages in renewed attack, especially in rally part. As a result trying to end every round in rally part is his strategy. Boll is quite professional in backhand cross-court shot.4Mizutani Jun has different varieties of serve, which is confusing, thus he has advantages in serve-then-attack. Mizutani Jun is relatively passive in rally. Defense is much more used than attack. He is quite outstanding in lobbing, and he can seize opportunities to attack when he lobs.5Samsonov has clear consciousness of active attack. His first stroke is not quite fierce, but succeeding renewed attack is of high quality. He mainly uses forehand drive after serving long. Samsonov is good at dealing with interposition near-net ball.
