The Analysis Of Liberal Education Thought Of Rabelais On The Basement Of Gargantua ET Pantagruell

On behalf of the person in renaissance period, Francois Rabelais plays an important role in the area of teaching theory and method. This paper is try to ascertain the Liberal Education thoughts of Rabelais on the base of his great works Gargantua et Pantagruel,and the paper is also aim to find out some meaningful lessons from the thought of Francois Rabelais on the area of Chinese education.The paper consist of four parts, the first part is to make a brief introduction of Liberal Education thoughts from ancient Greek to renaissance, in particular the times of Rabelais. Next, as to introduce the background of Rabelais’s educational thought and his great works, the second part tells Rabelais’s life and his learning experience. While the third part is the chief section to expose the Liberal Education thoughts of Rabelais, Which includes three characteristics of his thoughts:yearn for knowledge, the liberation of personality and innovation, and the analysis in details on the basis of the work Gargantua et Pantagruel. The analysis are consist of three segment, the first segment is to attack the scholastic education, the second segment is a explanation of teaching theory of Rabelais from the details in Gargantua et Pantagruel,and the third segment is to describe the Utopian Abbey of Thelma.The last part make an evolution of the Liberal Education thoughts of Rabelais.
