Qian Mu (1895-1990), another name is Bin si, Jiangsu Wuxi person, a great Confucianist. Born in a poor family in the late Qing Dynasty. After graduated from the middle school in1912, he became teachers in primary school, middle school and university. In1949, he founded the New Asia college in Hongkong. In1968, settled outside the Taipei Shuangxi. Qian Mu has been teaching for seventy years, he has experienced great changes in the era, high winds and waves of the times, he stuck to his educational philosophy, explored a new way of education.The title of this article is "Qian Mu’s Educational Thought".The purpose is passed from a cultural perspective on educational thought Qian analyze interpret insight into his understanding of education and awareness,thus his education thoughts have an intuitive understanding and grasp.Introduction the article includes two parts,Part of Evolution and meaning of Chinese traditional education, the second part is Mu Review of Educational Thought.Through narrative of two parts, so that readers can better understand the Qian Mu’s educational thoughts.In addition to the main part of the paper the introduction, mainly divided into four parts,The first part introduces the background Mu Educational Thought.From the process of education, educational process of Mu, roots of educational thought three aspects described in detail in the life of his taught and teaching process. The second part of the study is the nature and methods of Mu educational thought,this is the core content of this article,divided into two sections.The first section is the essence of educational thought by Mu analysis,let us better to understand the meaning of traditional education,understand the ideals of life education which Mu respected.Meanwhile, the relationship between education and life were analyzed.The second section is the research on the education of Qian Mu ".The teacher education of Qian Mu advocated, promoting virtue and asked his teaching methodology are discussed.The third part is the content of Qian Mu’s educational thought content. From the humanism of education as the core and in the training of talents on the basis of general culture two aspects of Qian Mu’s educational content analysis. In the practice of Qian Mu’s education, two are indispensable.The fourth part is to discuss the significance of Qian Mu’s Educational Thought on modern education. Is divided into two sections, the first section is in the western mode, some deviations of contemporary education. Comparison of Chinese and Western culture, mainly through education, found that two were different, the impact and the western education models on the Chinese traditional education. The second section is the reflection and reference to the contemporary education. Focus on contemporary education is facing some problems and development direction.In the conclusion part, the summary of the article, recognizing that some deviation and deficiency of contemporary education, the supporting force of culture is not enough, resulting in contemporary risk into nihilism. Thus to re-examine the traditional culture, the positive significance to examine the teacher spiritual tradition in contemporary society. Reflections on the traditional education to new trees flower, let us and the spirit of understanding.
