Faced with the challenge of economic globalization, as an important development strategy, China will expand the opening of education and improve the level of internationalization of education. In the recent, the introduction of a national long-term education reform and development plan (2010-2020) pointed out:"our country will strengthen international exchanges and cooperation to improve the level of internationalization of education in China, and enhance the international status of China’s education to culture large number of international talents who have international perspective, and familiar with international rules to participate in international affairs and competition" and so on. As the sole both provincial and national ’211’ Engineering University of Hunan province, the international development of Hunan Normal University can largely reflect the present status of Hunan province.Researching the international development of Hunan Normal University, find the real cause of Hunan Normal University, the process of internationalization and explore countermeasures to address the sissies will provide useful reference on promoting and improving the theory and practice of researches on international. This paper used the investigation method to have a field research to the Hunan Normal University, described the he international concept and plan of the Hunan Normal University, counted the number of the teachers and students of visiting and going abroad, analyzed the school cooperation exchange programs and the level of overall cooperation partners, as well as the effort of the Hunan Normal University in teaching methods and curriculum. The third part of the paper pointed out the problems of Hunan Normal University in international development, such as the lack of a systematic strategy of internationalization, the number of international exchange is little, cooperative administrative levels remains to rise, course setting and teaching means is backward wait. In the last part of the paper, the writer try to propose countermeasures of these problems:1seeking advanced technical support,2establishing an advanced international development idea,3constructing a number of high-quality teachers,4expanding the scale of the foreign students,5seeking actively partners,6curriculum internationalization,7reforming teaching methods in line with international standards.
