Complete mathematics learning includes not only the algorithmacquiring, also the rationale for algorithm understanding. Conventionalmethods is to hand students algorithm and favorable to theacquirement of algorithm. But in the promotion of mathematicalunderstanding the effect how, it remains to be studied. At the sametime, the algorithm diversification teaching effect has yet to be furtherverified. This article investigated the conventional algorithm teachingand the algorithm diversification teaching in the effect ofmathematical understanding. The first grade and the third gradeelementary school students were selected as the research object. Atthe beginning of the research, the conditions of the conventionalalgorithm teaching of the conceptions of mathematics is known byclinical interviews. And find effective intervention strategies on this basis;and then, there are teaching experiment between the conventionalalgorithm and algorithm diversification. The results show that:1.In the current algorithm teaching conditions, students can bettergrasp the algorithm, but cant explain well the different algorithms andresults of the same reason; mathematics learning stays in knows itshowever, not why level.2. The algorithm diversification teaching and conventionalalgorithm teaching conditions, students to learn the basic skills of thealgorithm have good results, and there are no significant differencesbetween the two.3. In contrast to the conventional teaching method, the algorithmdiversification teaching more conducive to students understanding ofmathematical...
