In mathematics,algorithm refers to the procedure and method of operation,and calculation theory is the inevitability behind the algorithm.In the process of mathematics learning,knowing algorithm belongs to "knowing its nature";knowing calculation theory(that is,knowing the inevitability behind algorithm)is "knowing its nature".There is a hidden danger in mathematics teaching.It is easy to regard mathematics as a set of algorithms,that is to say,it is easy to know but not know why.The way to avoid this hidden danger is to let the students understand the calculation as much as possible.The concept of bit value is the most basic principle of the four operations: the rules of the four operations,such as the alignment of digits,the carry and the abdication,are all contained in the concept of bit value.The students in the first semester of the second grade have already learned the two digit addition and subtraction method,including "carry plus" and "abdication minus".They are beginning to learn the multiplication in the table.It can be said that the students in the second grade are in the critical period of four arithmetic learning,which is the transition from the study of addition and subtraction method to the study of multiplication and division.Therefore,in this study,the second grade primary school students are selected as subjects,and the understanding of the concept of bit value is selected as the specific content of the measurement and calculation.So,what is the second year's understanding of arithmetic(bit value concept)?In this study,60 sophomores of primary school were selected as subjects,and oneon-one interview was conducted with interactive clinical interview method to test their understanding of calculation(bit value concept).The results showed that--------1.From the whole point of view,the second grade primary school students' understanding of arithmetic(bit value concept)has not reached the level of complete mastery;2.There is no gender difference in the understanding of the second grade students in primary school.Not fully mastering mathematics theory will affect mathematics academic performance;at the same time,not fully mastering mathematics theory means not knowing its reason to some extent,which may also cause mathematics anxiety,and finally affect mathematics academic performance through anxiety.In view of this,this study carried out further research.106 students in grade two of primary school were selected as subjects,and their mathematical anxiety was investigated by interview method,and their academic performance was measured by self-designed "mathematics level test of grade two of primary school".The results show that----1.The understanding level of arithmetic(the concept of bit value)positively predicted the academic achievement of mathematics;2.Mathematics anxiety can predict mathematics academic performance in reverse;3.Mathematics anxiety plays an intermediary role in the influence of the level of mathematics understanding on mathematics academic performance.
