The PE teaching environment is combined with teaching andlearning in the PE teaching process. Good teaching environment ispremise of develop physical teaching activity effectively, and is thebasic guarantee for teaching activities, the teaching environmentcould incentive students body and mind in the teaching process. Now,The PE teaching environment has not adapt to the modern physicaleducation and teaching concept, the aspects of teaching contentand thought were old, The new curriculum reform advocates tostudents for the development, take the student as the main aspect, setup the new concept of “health first and fitness education”.Thesereforms set the new request on the school teaching environment. Theschool sports would coordinate the elements of the physicalenvironment and social psychological environment.Improve andoptimize the PE teaching environment, and make students developedharmonious and comprehensive.The research methods of this paper utilized are research ofdocuments and materials、research of visiting and talking、investigationon the spot and statistic. Research the PE teaching environment for thepart of the experimental model senior high school in Shanghai. Useinvestigation and visiting to know the students in PE class teachingenvironment and make an evaluation. To investigate the front-lines PEteachers in their class teaching situation and the present situation offacilities and mental environment, etc, and evaluate the PE teachingenvironment. On the basis of past research, analysis the current of PEclass teaching environment in Shanghai, provide Suggestions andcountermeasures to create the new PE teaching environment, toprovide some references and rationales for the reform of curriculum onPE, Put forward a series of strategies to optimize the PE teaching environment in Shanghai.From the results of the study, according to material environment ofPE teaching: natural environment of Shanghai is superior, but with therainy season comes,rain continues for a long time and affect thenormal sports teaching. School facilities of theexperimental model senior high school in Shanghai are moreadvanced than other provinces and cities, but Part of the school sportsfacilities are not comply with the requirements on arrangement andafforest and Health condition; though sports equipment are sufficient,maintenance and replacement the equipment are not good enough.According to psychological environment of PE teaching: The school PEteaching content cant reflect diversification; the thought of PEteaching can keep pace with The Times; the school teaching class inlarge scale; organization way of teaching are the traditional way;Sports traditional and ethos aspects has not got to the mature stage;the schools are not completely attention In the construction of theharmonious active classroom atmosphere; Regarding relationships, Therelationship between sports teacher is good, But lack in exchangethoughts; The teachers and students relations got a low evaluation andsatisfaction; it also has a long way to built the close relations onteachers and students; Students got a harmonious relationship, andhad a better Class cohesion.
