Mathematic concepts have the character of high degree ofabstract, so how to make instructional design to promote student hasbeen the focus of the middle schools mathematics teaching andresearch. Emphasis only on the concept of rote in teaching cannotenable students to really understand the concept. On the contrary, itwill tend to make students feel uncomfortable or disgusting. APOStheory is based on the constructivist theory, which lays emphasis on theformation of concept and the process of the students’ knowledgeconstruction. This article bases on the realistic problems of the conceptof teaching, to explore the general design of the APOS theory underthe guidance of the concept of middle school mathematics teachingmethods and ideas. Firstly, this text studies high school students thestatus of conceptual understanding of function to understand theproblems in the concept of teaching and instructional design to exploreinspiration from the practical level. Explore the meaning of the APOStheory under the guidance of the concept of teaching and then fromthe four aspects of teachers, students, teaching objectives, teachingcontent, and put forward the basic principles of the APOS theory underthe guidance of the concept of instructional design and the theoryunder the guidance of the teaching stages of the design methods andsteps to explore. Finally, end with two cases studies showing a specificinstructional design ideas and methods. Hopefully this article offers agood reference and inspiration for subsequent teaching design andexploration.
