The Research On University Students’ Integrity In Examinantions

Integrity is the main content of the ideological and political education and thebasis of university students’moral-training.‘The Implementation Outline ofConstructing Citizens’ Moral’regards integrity as the basic moral norms. The SixthSession of the17th Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee pointed out:weshould put the integrity-constructing in the first place when setting and carrying outthe concept of honor and disgrace of of socialism. Integrity in examinations is a vaneand a barameter of the academic discpline. However,some universities and theirstudents take no notice of it.So the poor management of the school courseexaminations aggravates the integrity crisis in large-scale national exams.For example,cheating behaviors in the entrance examination of the postgraduates in the year2011and2012have exerted negative influence to the whole society.Therefore it’snecessary and important to improve the management of the universitystudents’integrity in examinations.The first chapter of the paper explores the theoretical origin and realisticfoundation of the integrity, expounding the relationship between the integrity andexminations,and putting forward the concepts of the integrity in exminations and themanagement of the integrity in exminations.Then it lists the personels of integrity inexaminations are composed of universities,teachers,and management staffs.In the second chapter, it makes a survey of the integrity in exminations amongthe university students、 teachers、and management staffs in three universities and avocation school in Hengyang and Xiangtan in HunanProvince, analyzing the causes oflacking integrity from the aspects of society,schools and the individual.In the third chapter,it elaborates three characteristics and five functions of themanagement of the integrity in examinations in universities.At last,this paper advances the countermeasures of improving universitystudents’integrity level in examinations,including innovating test contents andforms,constructing a good invigilating environment,improving the legal system,andbuilding regular feedback mechanism etc.I hope the research will be helpful inenhancing the university students’integrity level.
