The BBS(Bulletin Board System) of the university has a profound effect on universitystudents. It has become the distribution center of collegers’ thoughts, the place ofuniversity students’ socialization and the showcase of collegers’s image. This thesisobserve the public opinion phenomenan taken part in the BBS of universities from theideological and political education discipline view and take the activity of publicopinion guiding as a kind of carrier of ideological and political education. This paper isaim to providing the ideological and political educators with some benefit suggestions.The concepts of ideological and political education and carrier of ideological andpolitical education have been clarified and we confirm that the activity of guiding publicopinion on the BBS can be a carrier of ideological and political education. Besices, thecomformation law, psychological mechanism and defec of the public opinion of theuniversities’ BBS have been studied by obversing the example of the UESTC’sBBS-Thsing Shui He Pan. Finally, the method of guiding the public opinion ofuniversities’ BBS has been supplied to the ideological and political educators.
