Fatherhood Involvement Under The Perspective Of Masculinity

The role of the father is an important aspect of symbolizing masculinity, as well as the structural factors to transport masculinity. Masculinity has significant impact on paternal involvement, and the process of paternal involvement helps people construct masculinity. There is a deep and complex relationship between them, understanding masculinity has great role on paternal involvement.The absent of fatherhood has been the focus of academic research, but with the development of social development and the diversification of the traditional gender division of labor, the traditional concept of "man is responsible outside, and woman is responsible inside " is increasingly desolate and criticized. Along with a number of women work outside, more and more men actively participate in the process of child growing-up and do housework. But this phenomenon has been neglected by society, social policy, social system and social environment does not support on male paternal involvement, which makes men search the methods and paths of paternal involvement without guiding and help.Under the perspective of masculinity, fatherhood involvement is regarded as the theme of this paper, we discuss the impact of fatherhood engagement from the process of flowing and developing, mainly based on case interviews to collect data and analyze the study, which has proved that masculinity is accompanied by development of people and constantly changing, which plays an important role on fatherhood engagement t, while male positively takes part in paternal involvement which has positive influence on improving masculinity.
