It played an important role in English classroom teaching. This study is based on classroom observation and interview on four English teachers’ behaviors of classroom questioning from Nankai primary school. The classroom observation and interview includes:the types of classroom questioning; waiting time after classroom questioning; teachers’feedback on students after questioning. The research found the following phenomena while questioning:1.the number of the questions the teachers gave in each class was around80, and the types of questions focused on Yes/No questions;2.teachers did not leave students enough time to think;3.teachers’feedback on students after classroom questioning focused on simple recognition. This study suggests that teachers should:prepare carefully and design elaborately for classroom questioning according to the materials; improve teachers’ questioning techniques in classroom; do the feedback timely, and use the encouraged language fluently.
