The Comparative Analysis Of Foul Characteristics For The Chinese Women’s Team And Opponents In The16th Championships

The contradiction of defense and offense promotes the development of basketball sports. Fouls must occur in the process of defense and offense, fouls are considered as an important index in statistic in modern basketball games, whose appearance will have a significant impact on the result of games, how many fouls in one game reflect how fierce the game is, reflecting the ability of players to control the pace of games, to control and handle the ball’in fierce competition and reflecting how accurate the team to utilize skills and execute tactics, which still reflect individual ability and the overall level of a team, and also have a key influence on referees’decision. The Chinese women’s basketball team ranked the fourth in the2008Olympic Games, but only ranked the thirteenth in the16th world championships in2010, which aspect limits the development of the Chinese women’s basketball team?This paper takes the features of the Chinese women’s basketball team and other teams in the16th world championships in2010as research object, and studies the features of the Chinese women’s basketball team and other teams via method of documental material, method of interviewing experts, method of video analysis, method of mathematical statistic and method of comparative analysis, in order to find out the characteristic of the Chinese women’s basketball team fouls and analyze the cause of fouls, which provide help to the Chinese women’s basketball team for future practice and games, and at the same time supply theoretical references to referees when making decisions on court. The results of this paper are as follows:1in the total number of fouls, fouls and received fouls for the Chinese team and opponents are mainly focused on key players, substitutes playing less time on court, there is a big difference between substitutes and starters on individual ability, the attack and aggressiveness of offense is less than starters and the number of received fouls is less than opponents. In the same score situation, there exists sharp difference between the total number of the Chinese team fouls and opponents. 2in the area of fouls, fouls for the Chinese team and opponents are mainly focused in area one, there exists sharp difference for the Chinese team and opponents in area two. In the same score situation, the number of fouls for the Chinese team is more than opponents in area two, in the falling-behind situation, the number of fouls for the Chinese team is more than opponents in area three, which all exist significant difference.3in the time of fouls, the peak of fouls for the Chinese team and opponents occurs in the third quarter and the fourth quarter, and the less fouls occur in second quarter and the starters of the Chinese team foul too early and too many. The number of fouls for the Chinese team is more than opponents in the last two minutes, the number of fouls for the Chinese team in second quarter is more than opponents in the falling-behind situation, the number of fouls for the Chinese team in the first quarter is more than opponents in the same score situation and the number of fouls for the Chinese team in the third quarter is more than opponents in the score-leading situation, which all exist significant difference.4in the nature of fouls, there exists a big difference between the Chinese team and opponents for over-elbowing fouls and charging fouls. In the kind of fouls, the fouls for the Chinese team and opponents mainly occur on defending the shooting. The number of fouls for the Chinese team on defending off-ball players is more than opponents, which exists a big difference.5the main reasons of the Chinese team for fouls are poor conditioning under fierce body-contact, sharp difference between the Chinese team and opponents on techniques and tactics, poor physical fitness, the poor cooperation between veterans and rookies, the incapable substitutes and the instability of psychological state in games.
