Research On The Status Of Sport Dance Terminology In China

In order to understand the current status of sports dance terminology further and fully, the article will take NATIONWIDE SPORTS DANCE TEXTBOOK (1995-2010) and TEACHING VIDEO OF INTERNATIONAL STANDARD DANCE DEDICATED TERMS(2010) for examples, and will summarize specific datum by adopting logical analysis method. Based on the sample model, it analyses concept and types of sports dance terminology, current status of the textbook and the current practical application status of the textbook. It helps to better understand characteristics of these terms, and puts forward future development trend of the sports dance term, which will provide help for coaches and athletes, and helpful references for the standardization and development of sports dance theories. Research results show as follows:(1)The physical dance teaching materials used in China now face the problems of the inconsistencies of the English terms in different versions and the inconsistencies with the international terms. There are even inaccurate and false translations of few terms, which needs to strengthen the specifications and consistencies of the terms’translation in more ways.(2)Sports dance term has many features which are international, function, vivid, the scientific nature, professional, advancing with The Times; The classification divide into basic terms and action term and technical term; Has the development trend of internationalization and standardization.(3)Sports dance term is a language tool which is sports dance exchange and learning. Using sports dance terms can be more accurate understanding and fast controlling sports dance action technical features in the teaching and the training, but also to the spread of sports dance term and development, so as to advance strongly sports dance development. (4)Sports dance terminology plays an important role in rapid development and promotion of competitive sports dance, mass sports dance and school sports dance, the three also affect directly the physical dance term regulation and perfection.By reviewing the whole history of the development of the entire physical dance terminology, learning from the successful experience of China’s physical dance teaching materials and comparative thinking, the thesis is aimed at offering advice which can be helpful to the writing and use of the physical dance terms:(1) Correctness. The words should be accurate which can precisely show the nature and the form of the movements.(2) Simplicity. The language should be concise.(3) Perspicacity. The contents should be acceptable and make people easier to understand. Proposed with "English root method" learning sports dance term method, calling for a sports dance and in combination with the learning English, can not only promote the sports dance the understanding of the term, and it is helpful to the sports dance the internationalization of the term and the popularization of English.
