Comparative Analysis Of Cheer Jazz Team Strength Between China And The Others

Cheerleading was originated in the USA, and it’s history is more than100years. It is a team sport with athletes’complex, highly difficult basic hand positions and dance moves, project-specific difficulty transition and musical accompaniment,fully demonstrated superb team sports skills and techniques, reflecting the vigor, and positive team spirit, and striving for the highest honor. Cheerleading, as a competitive sport, can also be ornamental, participatory and entertaining, attracting more and more concerns, love and active participation. Because of its exciting stunt and toss, tumbling and pyramids, passionate slogans and active dance moves, it’s attractive for businesses and media too.According to differences in the content cheerleading can be divided into two major projects as technical cheerleading and dance cheerleading, and also dance cheerleading is divided into jazz dance cheerleading, the pom-pom dance cheerleading, hip-hop dance cheerleading. Considering the exciting stunt and lift and dazzling pyramid combinations in technical cheerleading, and hot dynamic music and dance in dance cheerleading, the dazzling costumes and props bring extraordinary visual effects for the audience, which is the reason why cheerleading have caught much attention and love and become one of the new, stylish athletic sports.As the origins and promoters, currently the United States, Japan and other countries’ skill levels are forefronts of the world. In China, cheerleading is a new sports event which only has a nearly ten years history. But in recent years, the technological levels are progressing phenomenally, some certain teams in China have caught up with the top teams in the world. Comparing with the world’s top teams like Team U.S. and Team Japan, there is still a large gap in the perception of the project, Cheerleading cultural, professional and technical training system, and especially choreography, execution, difficulty-choosing and so on. These are subjects to us professionals for further study. Therefore, it is urgent to improve the current issues and solve the problems by analyzing high level team performances.Refering to a large number of documents, video analysis, mathematical statistics and consulting the experts, the execution and difficulty in the complete set of Team Cheer Dance in World Cheerleading Championships2011is analysed. We have made some conclusions throughout the research:1. Some teams lack a thorough and accurate understanding of the rules of the international competition, so the action technical details are not good enough because of the commonly lack of consistency.2. We need to strengthen international exchanges of the cheerleading dance project, and to increase the opportunities for elite athletes to participate in international competitions, so they can accumulate competition experiences.3. Coaches should improve their innovative capacity of set arrangement, emphasizing the prominent theme of the complete movement.4. We also need to strengthen the training of athletes special physical abilities, and to improve the level of special technology for high-quality complete sets of action;5.Strengthen the sense of dance and accomplishments of the cheerleading dance athletes training, emphasizing the cultivation of the atheletes performance.6. We need to emphasis on cheerleading dance training environment and conditions, to creat better training space and equipments to match up with the international training standards.
