Characterization Study Of Basketball Literature In Thirteen Chinese Sport Core Journals

This thesis studies1097articles about basketball literature that published in13Chinese core journals between2001to2010. The journals take National Chinese Core Journals of2008Version as standard, including Journal of Beijing Sports University, Journal of Chengdu Sports University, Journal of Guangzhou Sports University, Journal of Shanghai Sports University, Journal of Shandong Sports University, Journal of Tianjin Sports University, Journal of Wuhan Sports University, Journal of Xi’an Sports University, Sports Academic Journal, Sports and Science, Sports and Culture Guide, China Sports Science and Sports Science. By introducing the methods of documentation, bibliometric analysis, logical analysis and software application, the thesis counts up and analyzes the basketball literature published in Chinese core journals during the ten years from2001to2010from the aspects of number, time lag, author group, and fund item, research methods and reference. The results show that:The posting number of basketball literature of13kinds of core sports journals has the feature of being periodic and unstable. Though the range of basketball literature is wide and the content shows diversity and multi-level, the profundity is still needed to be improved. There are varieties of research methods used in the thesis, and the methods are combined together. The traditional methods are still dominant, and modern means have gradually entered the list of researchers. The majority of the authors are men and research scholars. The ages are mainly from45to59, and then31to44. Authors from colleges and universities are the main force of the research, and they always work alone on a research or two persons work together. The cooperation capacity still needs to be strengthened and the core of the authors is still relatively weak. The thesis takes national, provincial and ministerial departmental level granted by a fund as the main source. They are mostly from sports institutions of comprehensive universities and only a few of them are from national institutions and sports research institutions. The types of the references are multiple and presently they are mainly journals and books, most of which are Chinese, supplemented by English references. The references come down to a wide range of subjects, but generally the communication between sports and other subjects is still too shallow.
