Discussing The View Of Life Of Contemporary College Students And Education

Since college students are the future and hope of the country, teaching them tocultivate an appropriate view of life should be of great importance. Thanks to theimplementation of reform and opening up, social and economic transformation providessufficient commodities to meet the requirements of life. But at the same time, negativeinfluence has been exerted on the college students. Materialism and consumerism havebeen enlarged and distorted by some people. As a result, hedonism, worshiping ofmoney, and extreme individualism, among others, become prevalent, making the spirituallife of college students empty. It is the gratification of materials and enjoyment of lifethat become the center in their life. As a result, realizing value of life and cultivatingcollege students to become the talents with noble traits is of great priority.The thesis deals with how to cultivate the outlook of life among the students byapplying western philosophical and Marxist theories after shedding a light on outlook oflife. Taking the situation and problems existed nowadays as the beginning of the research,the thesis analyzes the factors which influence the shaping of outlook of life, and thusproposes the strategies as a response. The thesis is divided into three parts.Chapter One analyzes the outlook of life of Chinese and Western philosophy and Marxistphilosophy, laying the foundation for establishing the suitable outlook of life which willbe introduced thereafter.Chapter Two focuses the current situation in terms of outlook of life in colleges anduniversities by analyzing the phenomena concerning about indifference of life performedby college students. And the effect exerted by cultivating appropriate outlook of life oncollege students in four aspects, namely, society, school, family and students.Chapter Three explains the content of education about outlook of life, with the goalswhich should be achieved as the first part, and then tries to establish the theoreticalframework of how to carry out relevant education, including the measures to beimplemented, in an effort to provide insights to the education.
