Research On Contemporary University Students’Education On The Socialism Core Values

President Hu Jintao once stressed in the report of the seventeenth national congress of the CPC:Practically integrate the socialism core value system with the whole process of national education and spiritual civilization construction, make it the people’s conscious pursuit. University students are the hope of the whole nation, the future of our country, as well as masters and heirs to advanced culture and technologies. Living in the critical period of the values formation and development, university students at present are prone to be influenced by various ideological trends. Without the leading of a scientific value, they will easily get stuck in problems such as the confusion on political conviction, the lack of ideal and faith, the vagueness on value judgments, the prevailing of Utilitarianism, the loss of integrity consciousness and the aggravation of psychological problems. Universities always bear the responsibilities of students’ ideological and political education. It is an important subject, which the university should pay further think and research to, to lead the students into a correct direction using socialism core values.There’re seven parts in this thesis. The first part tells the significance of choosing this paper topic. It gives an important introduction to the theoretical value and practical significance of the research. Besides, it introduces the history and general situation of current academic circles in three aspects; they are research of values, research of socialism core values and university students’core values. By the state of the necessity and importance of current university students’education on socialism core values, the opportunity and challenge facing the university students’education on socialism core values, the historical process and basic experience of current university students’ education on socialism core values, problems and their causes existing in the university students’education on socialism core values, ideas and strategies to carry forward current university students’education on socialism core values, it tells many problems which the current academic circles concentrate on concerning to problems of university students’education on socialism core values. The second part gives a main introduction of the basic connotation of the socialism core values, including a correct understanding of the relationship between socialism core value system and socialism core values, the basic connotation of the socialism core values. The third part is an analysis on the necessity and importance of the current university students’education on socialism core values, which includes the international and domestic situation and the necessity of education; new features and new problems existing in current university students values; the importance of their education; finally it is the important significance of strengthening the university students’education on socialism core values. The fourth part is a state of opportunities and challenges facing the current university students’ education on socialism core values, including opportunities and challenges brought by a new trend in the world development, a new development in China, development of IT and network technique as well as ideological characteristics of current college students. The fifth part is an analysis on the historical process of the current Chinese university students’education on socialism core values and basic experiences getting from it. The sixth part is a description of problems existing in the current university students’ education on socialism core values as well as their causes. The seventh part is an analysis on ideas and strategies about the current university students’education on socialism core values, including ideas, principles and strategies of current university students’education on socialism core values.
