The research about Construction of dormitory culture has been a long time. Dormitoryculture is an important part of campus culture. College students’ dormitory culture formedin a specified environment which can be accepted by all members of the dormitory. Itincludes both the material culture system culture behavior culture and spiritual culture,has the features of privacy modernization openness and plasticity. The dormitory cultureis closely related with the development of college students research the dormitory cultureespecially freshman dormitory culture on the growth of college students have a certainvalue.This article based on the analysis of previous research and absorbs its outstandingachievements. Then find the gaps that exist in existing research, combined with theauthor’s thinking about the relationship among dormitory culture the growth of collegestudents and the ideological political education, through the investigation and study, sortout my own viewpoints and attitudes.This article is divided into three main parts:The first part is a summary of the dormitory culture. In this part, the author firstanalysis the meaning of culture dominant culture and sub-culture. On this basissummarized my understanding about the concepts of dominant culture. Then the content ofthe dormitory culture are analyzed, I think dormitory culture should include materialculture system culture Behavior culture and spiritual culture. The next with emphaticallyanalyzes the dormitory culture the relationship between the students growth, in definingthe basis of the concept of college students development, the author done some analysisabout the relationship between dormitory culture and the growth of college students,evaluation dormitory culture’s positive impact to college students’ ability character andphysical and psychological at the same time discuss the negative impact of dormitoryculture on student’s grades interpersonal relationship ideal and goals.The second part mainly analysis the survey of the status about dormitory culture. Theauthor selected freshmen from two colleges in Anhui province, investigation the currentfreshman dormitory culture on college students’ influence, then interview some school’slogistics leadership dormitory management personnel student cadres and some studentswho has been interviewed, made a detailed analysis report and the interview record. Withthe help of Spss17.0software, the author not only analyze single topic, but also do thecrossover analysis about the related factors, in order to get an accurate understanding of therelationship between dormitory culture and students’ growth. In this section, the author also carried out some reasons of the phenomenon which reflected in the survey, and putforward some opinion about the construction of college dormitory culture dismissed somecurrent research conclusion one-sided or not exist in reality views and measures.The third part put forward new ideas of college ideological and political education onthe basis of the above research and analysis. The authors think that in a certain period thenew students still maintained many good study and living habits. Schools should protectthese good dormitory cultures, and then carry out targeted ideological and politicaleducation. Media also shall objectively and accurate reports the current situation of collegestudents’ dormitory culture construction to build a good college students’ ideological andpolitical education of public opinion atmosphere. According to the various on collegestudents’ dormitory culture phenomenon or problems, should be from the state, society,schools, and students themselves to eliminate and work together to and improveideological and political education, guide the healthy development of students.
