Studying Juvenile Gang Crime From The Perspective Of Mechanics

Juvenile delinquency is a social issue that has been received widelyconcern all the way, and gang crime is a prominent problem of juveniledelinquencies. To study the phenomenon, this text treats parts of juvenilecriminal cases that come from Sha Ping Ba judicial bureau between2009and2011as the object of study. It introduces mechanics principle in physics toanalyze empirically gang criminal acts of juveniles and tries to analyze theproducing mechanism of gang criminal acts of juveniles from a new perspectiveand find the preventive strategies which are reasonable and efficient.There are four parts are included in the paper:Section one: Introduction. It introduces the research background of thepaper, the object and significance of study, and empirical and theoretical statusquo of researches regarding gang crime of juveniles. Finally, the text presentsinnovations on the methods and perspective of researchSection two: the empirical analysis of juvenile gang crimes. At first,analyzing parts of juvenile criminal cases that are from Shang Ping Ba judicial bureau from2009to2011by statistics, and summarizing the current situation ofjuvenile gang crimes in Shang Ping Ba, which include certain conditions, suchas age, household register, the nature of household register, degree of education,vocation, family status.etc. After that, the paper analyzes and compares thedifferences between gang criminal acts and normal crimes of juveniles.Section three: the mechanical analysis of gang criminal acts of juveniles.Regarding offences as the consequence of offenders suffer from the resultantforce, and it defines crime from the perspective of mechanics and set forth thenature of crime. To begin with, building mechanical model of producingcriminal acts, then to decompose the resultant force into inner power, internalresistance and external power, external resistance Inner power is also calledinterior driving force, which is decisive factor that contributes to juveniledelinquency and from diversifying internal demand of juveniles. However,alternative and negative expressions of internal need may contribute to criminalacts. Internal resistance mainly comes from self-control, which is primaryintrinsic factor of controlling crimes. Weak and strong level of self-control is associated with their special physiologic and physical characteristics,partnership, family relationship and others related social relationship. Externalpower mainly comes from the effects of crime field. Crime field exists insurroundings of actors and it is a special background that motivates offenders tocommit criminal acts. There are tons of empirical evidences that show thatinternet bars and schools are two main crime fields that affect the generation ofgang criminal acts of juveniles. External resistance mainly suffers from theimpacts from criminal control field which is the specific background that thecarrier to social organizations to impede actors to commit crimes. Then,combining the current situation and features of gang crime of juveniles, thepaper analyzes the forming of them from the perspective of mechanics and thensummarizing its forming mechanism and causes.Section four: countermeasures of restraining gang crime of juvenile. Basingon the mechanical analysis of section three, this section put forwardcorresponding preventive countermeasures:(1) To reduce criminal motivations’ generation, we should reasonably meet the normal demand of juveniles, weakening undesirable internal drivingforce.(2) To resist the driving force from both interior and exterior, it isnecessary to strengthen the self-control of juveniles.(3) Controlling crime field that can reduce the opportunities of committinggang crime for juveniles exteriorly.(4) Strengthening social control, which contribute to prevent and reducethe rate of crime exteriorly. Through the above approaches, we can reducemotive force of crime, amplify criminal resistance then achieve the goal ofpreventing gang crime of juvenile.
