Case-based reasoning is an important branch in the field of artificial intelligence. Because it corresponds with the natural human reasoning processes and problem-solving model, it gradually becomes the new favor of educators, and it accesses the field of education using a formal identity, and then it becomes a new learning theory which acclaims learning from experience. As a learning theory, case-based reasoning necessarily implies a certain opinion of transfer of learning. Transfer of learning is always an unavoidable theme in the research about learning. Its emergence and development are restricted the dominant learning theory during a certain period of time, and the change and innovation of learning theory can provide useful guidance for the education and teaching practice, enriching and improving learning theory. American psychologist Beagle once said, the transfer of learning is the pillar of education which must be the last sustenance. With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,"teaching for transfer" becomes the guiding idea of the school education today. From the perspective of transfer of learning, this article summarizes the current situation and development trends of transfer research, and it explores the connotation, the basic theory and transfer mechanisms of both transfer of learning and analogical transfer, revealing the connotation, basic characteristics and operation mechanism of case-based reasoning, and it defines transfer of learning in case-based reasoning, and it analyzes the nature, the transfer mechanism as well as the basic viewpoints in case-based reasoning, and then verify the positive impact of case-based reasoning for the transfer of learning with the teaching experiment. Specifically, this study focused on the following aspects:First, it retrospectives study of both transfer research and case-based reasoning to reveal their respective origins, development, and skeleton, and it regards analogical transfer as a separate branch of the transfer of learning to explore. By exploring the meanings, essences, and transfer mechanisms of transfer of learning and the connotations, characteristics and operation mechanisms of case-based reasoning, it reveals the relationship between transfer theory and learning theory, and lay a solid foundation for follow-up study with transfer of learning in case-based reasoning.Second, it reveals the transfer phenomena and the transfer points which are contained in case-based reasoning. It defines the concept of the transfer of learning in case-based reasoning, the nature of the transfer of learning in case-based reasoning through the analysis of the R4cognitive model of case-based reasoning, that is, it is a situation-oriented, case-oriented and cognitive-oriented analogical transfer. Then it points that the transfer of learning in case-based reasoning should experience three stages:finding the source case (retrieve); making applicable decision for the target case solution (revise/reuse); application and evaluation of the retrieved case (store).Furthermore, it designs an empirical research framework and the research process of transfer of learning in case-based reasoning. Combining with the characteristics of the high school general information technology courses "simple robot making" as well as the influence factors of transfer of learning in case-based reasoning, it proposes the research hypotheses, selects research materials, determines the research objectives, sets the research process, and makes a good preparation for the teaching empirical research, in order to facilitate the implementation of empirical research.Finally, it collects, collates and statistics research data, then deduces the results and proposes teaching advices. With statistical analysis of data and text content analysis, hypothesis testing results are obtained. It shows that the influence of case-based reasoning for the transfer of learning and that the teaching advices.
