Language input a very important role in second language acquisition.Second languagelearning is inseparable from language input and how will the input frequency works in secondlanguage acquisition also draws attention from many domestic and foreign scholars to studyand research.Along with the Chinese studying trend heat up around the world,at present thetheory research on Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is not very well developed.All ofthese studies are aimed at trying to inspect all conducive to learning factors ofacquisition,exploring all possible ways to improve the efficiency of Chinese learning.Thesignificance of this paper lies in this as well.Ellis(2002) proposed that frequency is thekey factor to second language acquisition;teaching material is the main source ofinput;vocabulary is an important knowledge of language acquisition.All of these have veryimportant theoretical and practical significance on the reproduction rate of teaching in newwords studying.In this study,taking the Chinese teaching textbooks used in Thailand——<Chineseexperience> vocabulary as the input source,statistically analyze the textbooks total numberof new words,recurrence rate,making tests.50students were chosen among the school where thewriter teaching at to carry on this investigation,together with analyzing the results of testpapers.Through the statistics and careful analysis,this study reached the followingconclusions:(1)Two of the <Chinese experience> textbooks,the vocabulary repetition rate fits therequirements high frequency words appear to be around60%;the middle level frequency wordsappear to be around32%,the low-frequency words proportion is7.4%,and only1wors is0recurrence.(2)It appears to be a positive relationship between the frequency of words and languageacquisition.The results show the Ellis research on frequency as the center of the secondlanguage acquisition theory is accurate.Frequency of words plays an important role in languagelearning.(3)The frequency hypothesis also have certain limitation.In this study,some high repetitionrate words appear to be harder to acquire whereas some recurrence rate new words appeared tobe the easier to acquire,which is against the frequency hypothesis.In the text,I have analyzedthese phenomenon and proved the acquisition,by the effect of frequency at the influence onlanguage acquisition.
