The Present Situation And Strategies Of The Teaching Of Public Sports Basketball Elective Course In Colleges And Universities In Henan Province

In order to promote the public sports teaching reform of colleges and universitiesin Henan Province, to enhance the quality of public physical education, I had athorough understanding and heated discussion of the current situation in publicphysical education by the methods of literature, questionnaire, expert interview andmathematical statistics. What’s more, I put forward some constructive measure andsuggestions with the requirement of quality education in the new period and reform ofcollege physical teaching. I hope that I can offer some theoretical reasons for thesustainable development of public sports basketball elective course of Henan provinceand the country’s other colleges and universities teaching.Through the investigation and Analysis on the current status of teaching ofcommon basketball course in some colleges of Henan Province, there are fiveimportant points.First, the young teachers is the mainstream in the college basketball electivecourse teaching in Henan Province, but the proportion of female teacher is less thanthe male’s. We know that the knowledge structure and academic structure of mostteachers are reasonable, but young teachers hardly have highly educated. It means thatacademic title has age differences. Many factors influenced the stability of theteachers’ structureSecond, many students are good at basketball, so they learn basketball carefullyand actively in the basketball selective course, which may life-threatening. But somestudents also have negative thoughts.Third, most of the college definite motivations in the aspect basketball course,but some students also have the herd phenomenon. Some students get informationabout knowledge by watching NBA basketball, CUBA basketball match.Fourth, course content and curriculum are in unreasonable, their teaching meanstraditional and form of organization single. What’s more evaluation only focuses onresults.Fifth, basketball course has good learning atmosphere, but equipments are so lesswhich can not satisfy student needs, which restrict the development of basketballoption class teaching.Suggestions1. It needs to increase the proportion of female teachers, to further improve theteaching staff structure and pay attention to the training of the young teachers. It also needs to encourage teachers of all colleges and universities sports work and take theinitiative to strengthen construction of team of Professor’s reserve.Pay attention to different levels of student’s basketball demand, and to teachstudents in accordance with their aptitude.2. Teaching methods needs the big reform and innovation; explore new teachingmethods about combination of various teaching modes, which should be satisfied bystudent’s diversifications3. It should enrich the teaching content, update teaching methods, and improvethe basketball teaching interesting. The important thing is to cultivate students’innovation consciousness and ability.4. Teachers also should master the students’ learning situations to receive fromteachers who know “the whole student, the whole person”.5. Making rational use of teaching resources is necessary. Because it canimprove the basketball court, basketball teaching equipment, and build a goodenvironment for students.
