| The "Huaguang Cup" Basketball Championship for Henan University Students is an important event hosted by the Education Department of Henan Province,executed by the Basketball Association of Henan Student Sports Federation,and hosted by universities in Henan Province.The Undergraduate Group A is a competition for non-sports graduate students and undergraduates in Henan universities.It can objectively reflect the basketball level of ordinary college students in Henan Province.Due to the particularity of college student athletes,full-day cultural class learning is mainstream,so the undergraduate group A basketball team organizes after-school training to improve sports performance.This research investigates the current situation of after-school training of the undergraduate group men's basketball team,analyzes the shortcomings of the current after-school training of the basketball team,and at the same time proposes effective countermeasures and theoretical foundations for the further improvement of the after-school training of the basketball team,and further promotes after-school training.In this study,the undergraduate men's basketball team was selected as the survey object.The stratified sampling survey method was used to select eight representative universities in Henan Province for investigation,and the literature method,mathematical statistics method and logic analysis method were used for analysis and induction.The following aspects are taken as research paths: first,the basic situation of coaches and athletes;second,the plan,time period,training duration,training frequency,training content and intensity of after-school training;third,the selection of athletes;fourth,Athletes' motivation and attitude,frequency of participation in amateur competitions,contradictions in academic training,and the impact of Huaguang Cup basketball match arrangements on athletes;Fifth,the fund's investment of the competent authorities,the school reward mechanism,and the importance attached by leaders at all levels.After analyzing the current situation of the after-school training of the men's basketball team of the undergraduate group A in the "Huaguang Cup" Basketball Championship of Henan University Students,the following conclusions are drawn:First,the coaches' academic qualifications are concentrated in the master's degree,and the older coaches are retiring behind the scenes,resulting in a younger faculty and lack of experience in leading the team.The selection of coaches is not comprehensive.Most athletes have no sports level and are led by direct appointment.The degree of professionalization of coaches is not high,and the composition of coaches needs to be improved.The athletes' level of competition is not high,the training period is short,and there is a certain gap between the skill level and the group B and C(sports professional and high level).Second,most coaches will formulate long-term training plans,but they cannot effectively complete the training tasks specified in each week type in the cycle training.The arrangement of extracurricular training content is unreasonable,and the psychological training of athletes is ignored.Besides,the basketball team's load arrangement during the usual afterschool training is too small,and the load arrangement during the pre-match training session is too large,which can cause obvious contrast and easily lead to sports injuries.Thirdly,the athletes have a single selection method and focus on selecting athletes in the school competition.In the athlete selection test indicators,psychological testing is not included as one of the evaluation criteria for selecting athletes.Fourth,many athletes have a high degree of love for basketball,and their after-school training is more active.However,some athletes participate in amateur competitions at a lower frequency,lacking experience in competition and adapting to the environment.Some athletes cannot balance the conflicts between culture and learning,and absent from training.On the other hand,the undergraduate group competition of Henan University students' "Huaguang Cup" basketball championship is usually placed in the summer vacation in July,which leads to conflicts between the final exam preparation period and the critical period of training for athletes.Fifth,the lack of funds for the undergraduate men's basketball team has become a normal state,limiting the development of the basketball team.The government only gives support in policy,and some colleges only pay attention to reporting and are lighter than construction.Some colleges and universities do not have a sound reward mechanism.The coaches leading the training school cannot give corresponding rewards,which seriously affects the enthusiasm of the coaches to organize after-school training.The relevant leadership of the basketball team during the pre-match training period is highly valued,and it is ignored during the basketball team's usual extracurricular training.The relevant leaders have to pay more attention to the basketball team.Countermeasures and suggestions:First,the selection of coaches should be comprehensively evaluated,the form of competition should be adopted for coach selection,and post training should be strengthened to improve the overall quality of coaches.For the coaches,the teaching tasks can be appropriately reduced,and more time and energy will be concentrated on the training and competition of the team.Second,coaches develop detailed cycle training plans and carefully complete them.Coach training methods are efficient and innovative,and reasonable training load is arranged to improve training efficiency.At the same time,athletes should clarify their training goals and prevent blind training.Third,expand the selection of athletes,and develop college basketball clubs to attract more talented athletes and help optimize athletes' selection.In the athlete selection test indicators,psychological testing should be used as one of the athletes' selection criteria.Fourth,arrange the time of Henan University 's “Huaguang Cup” basketball tournament reasonably.It is recommended to arrange the game on Saturday and Sunday with the home and away points system,which is more conducive to the promotion of the event and the participation of athletes.Schedule of study and after-school basketball training time,reasonable allocation of study and training time;sports teams should actively create game conditions and actively participate in various games to increase training and game experience.Fifth,the relevant leaders of the school have formulated corresponding systems to guarantee the time,funds and basketball venue allocation of the sports team's after-school training;improve the reward mechanism and improve the enthusiasm of the sports team for extracurricular training;encourage the sports team to seek out-of-school sponsorship and enrich the
