Optimization And Research Of University Internal Information Platform Based On UCD

This paper introduces the concept of user-centered design and other concepts such as university portal website, internal information platform of university, campus network.Based on UCD, the author do a series of surveies on universities portals in China and abroad, and lists the problems from all aspects. The theory of UCD,as well as its principle and process, may help deal with the following problems, which is proved in this paper and is integrated into the designing of universities’ internal infor matiom platfo rm.To pratice the new founded process, we select ZhengZhou University as a case and condute a study of users’demands of information and the using experiences of the internal informa ton platform in ZhengZhou University. The result showed some shortcomeings.Then, according to the designing process based on UCD,the first step is background analysis of the system, the second step is character and context creation, the third step is task analysis and the forth step is page designing. After this, we should evaluate its effect and improve the system according to the feedbacks.The paper uses the same task to test the original system and the new system, and the former spent more time finish the task. So we approve the new designing process based on UCD.
