Parent involvement refers to parents provide support, help and guidance fortheir children’s education, and provided resources for children’s studies andeducation that could be perceived by children. Subjective well-being is anindividual holistic assessment of their quality of life, related to the evaluationof individuals for their own lives, and closely linked their mental health.Junior secondary students in the early stages of youth, their thought andbehavior are immature, psychological outlook is very unstable. Studentsduring this period need more help with the school and parents to obtainhappiness. Then, whether parental involvement will affect the junior middleschool students’ subjective well-being? The research thought Parentinvolvement could help improve their children’s academic achievement, Toform the good learning attitude and class behavior, perception of class andschool form a positive atmosphere, Reduce externalizing behavior problemsin children and adolescents, and improve the attendance, strengthen students’experience of happiness. The purpose of this study is to analyze students’parent involvement, the subjective well-being of their own characteristics andthe relations between the two. Use a questionnaire method, survey550students in Zhengzhou area, recycle questionnaire and analyzing the data by Ttest, variance analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis by SPSSsoftware. The results show:(1)The parent involvement of the city’s junior high school students are themid to upper level.(2)There exists significant difference among the parents’ educational leveland students’ gender and grade of parent involvement. Wherein, there aresignificant differences in the educational level of the parents to participate inthe main of parents intellectual engagement dimension and parents involvedin the total extent, participation of parents of high school and college education was significantly greater than the degree of junior high schooleducation or less parent involvement; there are significant differences instudents’ gender of parents intellectual engagement dimension, the degree ofparent involvement of male students was significantly higher than femalestudents’. There are significant differences in students’ grade of parents’behavior management participation dimension, the degree of parentinvolvement of first grade’s and Grade Two’s were significantly higher thanGrade three’.(3)There are significant differences on the parents to participate in the mainof the degree of parent involvement what junior high school studentsperceived. Specifically, the effect of the parents to participate in is better thanone of the parents involved in a separate, co-parents or one parent aloneinvolved in better than other parents to participate in effect.(4)This region junior high school students’ total score of subjectivewell-being is in a satisfactory extent; friendship satisfaction, familysatisfaction, school satisfaction, freedom satisfaction, environmentalsatisfaction at the basic level of satisfaction; academic satisfaction is lowerthan the basic satisfaction degree; positive emotions and negative emotionsin the average.(5)There are significant differences on the junior high school students’grade of their school satisfaction and academic satisfaction. Specificperformance: first grade students’ school satisfaction was significantly higherthan the second and the third grade’s; third grade students’ academicsatisfaction was significantly higher than Grade Two’s.(6)There are significant differences on the parents to participate in the mainof the degree of junior high school students’ subjective well-being. Specificperformance: compared with other parents to participate in, co-parents or oneparent alone participate in make their children get a better family satisfaction,freedom of satisfaction and overall life satisfaction; compared with otherparents to participate in andparent alone involved in, co-parents participate in make their children get a better environmental satisfaction.(7)There were significant positive correlation with the total extent of parentinvolvement and subjective well-being, life satisfaction and its containeddimensions and positive affect.(8)Parent involvement can predict the degree of subjective well-being ofthe junior high school students. Wherein, the total extent of parentinvolvement has Significant role in forecasting school satisfaction; Emotionalsatisfaction dimension can significantly predict subjective well-being infriendship, family satisfaction, school satisfaction, satisfaction withenvironment, the overall life satisfaction and positive mood dimensions;Emotional participating dimension and behavior management dimension canpredict freedom satisfaction together.
