Electronic pattern machine is a new-type intelligent sewing equipment which usedembedded systems technology. It has the advantage of high sewing speed, highefficiency and high quality sewing. Now, electronic pattern machine is widely used inbags sewing industry. After analyzing the principle of electronic pattern machine andthe basic form of the control system, the control system of electronic pattern machine isdesigned. This control system consists of Embedded PC motherboard, LCD touchscreen and motion control card. In this paper, the design of hardware and software formotion control card and the design of Pattern algorithm are completed.The motion control card is designed which based on embedded processorSTM32F103ZC and motion control chip PCL6045B. Power module, the serialcommunication circuit, CAN communication circuit, JTAG circuit are designed andfinished. In the designation of software, according to the modular design method theprogram is divided into modules. Instruction receiving and interpretation module,Instruction execution module, state detection module are introduced. FinallyAnti-interference measures for motion control card are introduced.To meet the demand of store the pattern information, a new type of pattern formatcalled HGC is designed. A method of converting DXF file format to HGC file format isin described. Finally the design of the pattern algorithms is completed. In this thesis thealgorithms of line, circle pattern zooming and pattern rotating are designed.
