With the development of the process of economic globalization, the modern logisticsindustry is showing steady growth, barcode technology has been widely used in cargomanagement. The market need wireless barcode collection terminal more and more urgent.For now, the wireless barcode collection terminal rarely uses several types of wirelesscommunication. Even then, the price is very expensive. In addition, the terminal doesn’t takeeffective encryption to encrypt the collected barcode data that will be transported, whichmaybe cause leakage of data. In this paper, we will design and realize one kind of barcodecollection terminal to solve the two problems above. The terminal takes two kinds o f wirelesstransmission which are WiFi and GPRS, and encrypt the barcode data before beingtransmitted.The paper will design the core circuit board based on S3C6410processor, and design theexternal interface circuit for wireless transmission using SIM300C GPRS module andWM-G-MR-09WiFi module, which depends on the functional requirements and goals. Thenwe shall have set up the system hardware development platform. Based on that, we chooseWindows CE6.0embedded operating system as the software develop ment platform, anddevelop the board support package (BSP) for this hardware platform which includesBootLoader, the OAL and drivers. Then we can customize Windows CE6.0operating systemand export the software development kit (SDK) for the application. After that, the paperdesigned and achieved the application software of the relevant module. For example, theserial communication module, the DES encryption and decryption module, GPRScommunication module, WiFi communication module and the user interface module.The developed wireless barcode collection terminal can use the GPRS or WiFi wirelesstransmission to transmit the barcode data. Before that, the data has been encrypted, which can ensure the security of the data. The terminal achieved the desired objectives and has goodpractical value.
