With the continuous development of cloud storage technology,DAS(DirectAttached Storage) storage environment in the data center application is going to fade,NAS(Network Attached Storage) and SAN(Storage Area Network) havebecome thecore of the data center storage architecture. In addition,Theapplication of virtualmachines is becoming more and more widespread in data center and it’s a trend thatvirtual machines replace physical machines. In order to improve and optimize thesystem’s overall storage performance,it is an extremely important research value andapplication prospect to combine virtual machines with NAS.This article faced the problem that the storage I/O is always the bottleneck ofcomputer systemstructure. To solvethe problem,RAID technology andhighperformance solid-state disks are applied to NAS device while it achieved thelink aggregation between ESX Server virtual machines and the NAS device, whichcomprehensively promotes storage I/O and the performance of the network. Finally, thearticle proposes a storage solution. The experiments proved that virtual machinesbased on NAS storage architecture is superior to it’s performance based on DASstorage architecture and optimization of the migration of virtual machines.Inaddition, the size of data movers’cache capacity has a great effect on virtual machine’sreading and writing performance, which is valuble for managing datacenter storageresources.Last, the article put forward the NAS storage solution used in FtpServer,Web Server and Video on demand Server, solving the problem of resourceunderutilization, poor scalability, poor recovery strategy and difficult to maintenance.
