Cloud computing related hot topics of research never stopped yet.Cloud computing is a computing model which supported to access to the virtualization hardware computing resources pool through the Internet. Users can pay based on the actual usage, and it supports elastic expansion of configuration of virtual computing configuration. Virtualization technology as the key technology of cloud computing, applied decoupling techniques underlying hardware devices and software services of the upper separation, in order to achieve more efficient and flexible application of computer resources. The online migration of the virtual machine technology is a key technique for the operate of huge amounts of computing resources in cloud computing. Online migration refers to let virtual machine from a physical host migration to other physical host while the virtual machine keeps running. Finishing the migration of virtual machine data disk, memory data and status of equipment.With the migration occupies the computing resources, the service of virtual machine will be affected along with the migration process.Researches of online migration based on shared storage is mature, and this kind of migration doesn't need to transfer disk data. But in the actual service application, some distributed application scenarios and large online application logs often need to use local storage to ensure its high performance requirements. But the storage of local storage reaches several dozens to hundreds GB.Migration of data of 100 GB also needs about ten minutes with 10 Gigabit Ethernet in professional cloud computing services company. Data transferring lead to the virtual machine be corresponding affected.The service of virtual machine long time be affected in migration is a key point to be solved. We did researches as follow in this paper:(1) The research of the virtual machine online migration based on local storage at home and abroad. Then focused on the time of migration.(2) The research of the disk data transmission, which is the difficulty in the research. Then proposed a optimization solution of virtual machines migration of local storage(3) Make reform to disk which type is block raw which supports migrate incremental data. then we made reform to migration tools, make the cloud platform support the migration of disk which reformed.(4) The experiment to verify the validity of the optimization scheme. The experiment indicate that the optimization scheme greatly reduced the time of the formal migration and reduced the ill effects on the virtual machine service time.
