With the development of information technology, informationization has become thecore to improve product competition in modern manufacturing enterprises. Product DataManagemen (PDM) and Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP) are two significant fields ofadvaneed manufacturing technology. The BOM is the data basis of information-integrationto carry out the manufaeturing informationization, and it is the link to integrateinformation for ERP/PDM softwares. CAM technology is digital manufacturingtechnology based on an important enabling technology, CNC machining is the importantpart of CAM, in the process of NC cutting parameter selection to ensure the quality ofproducts, improve productivity, reduce the production cost plays a very important role.To explore the domestic and foreign BOM development methods and CAM CNCmachining process on the basis of the practical problems faced by the chemical towermanufacturers in the design and manufacturing process according to a study from thefollowing aspects:1) Developed BOM information extraction module, the module can be extracted fromthe parts information database traverse the assembly of the tower to the parts attributeinformation, and save it to the tower BOM repository to generate the design of the BOM.2) On the basis of discussion of the characteristics of the chemical towermanufacturing process BOM multi-view depth analysis of the BOM multi-view mappingprocess, designed for the chemical tower BOM multi-view mapping algorithm. Ultimately,the construction of a mapping model for the chemical tower by the design BOM again tothe process BOM to manufacturing BOM.3) Oriented chemical key parts of the tower, the establishment of a multi-objectiveoptimization of cutting parameters model. And simulated annealing genetic algorithm ofthe model is solved to obtain the optimal cutting parameters that meet specific criteria, andoptimal results are stored to the cutting database for CNC machining procedure call.4) Cutting parameters extracted from the library of cutting parameters optimizedusing VB, UG secondary development interface to import UG/CAM module in order toachieve the CNC machining of critical parts of the chemical tower.On the basis of the above research, using VB2005as a development tool, using UGNX6as development platform, developed a set of BOM management, CAM NCmachining in one of the chemical tower dedicated UG module; the tower parts attribute information management as well as the key parts of numerical control machiningparameter optimization.
