Organizational commitment (OC) is a popular issue that management scholarsconcerned in recent years. A large number of domestic and international researches andpractices have showed that, OC is an important variable which can predict the turnover,absenteeism, Organizational Citizenship Behavior and job performance of the staff.The enterprises in human resource management need to pay close attention to thisproblem. This paper discusses the research background, the significance and thethought of how to write it at first. Secondly it reviews and summarizes the researcheson OC and other related theoretical studies. This paper includes3dimensions,18itemsin formal OC scale which based upon the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire(OCQ), carries out the empirical study on the survey of the permanent staff fromManchukuo Palace Museum. Then research the condition of the OC and affectivecommitment (AC), normative commitment (NC), continuance commitment (CC) of it.Analyse and research the relationship between demographic variables and the OC.Through data analysis, it reaches the conclusion which can improve the enthusiasmand work efficiency of the permanent staff from Manchukuo Palace Museumeffectively.The result shows that: in the7variables of the population statistics, only genderand marital status have significant influence on the OC or some parts of its dimensions.Comparing with the existing results of other subject areas, the conclusions are notcompletely consistent with theirs, which may be directly related to the nature ofdifferent industries.
