With the advent of the information age and the further development of network technology, the application of computer and network in teaching has become fairly extensive. The campus network construction has taken initial shape. Many students are capable of communicating and learning online. Teaching activities via internet have gradually received increasing attention from the higher vocational colleges in China. At present, the construction of their own network environment has become the primary task of many higher vocational colleges. The new type of network teaching mode breaks down the traditional mode of "teaching-oriented", with the direction turning to "learning-oriented". In the teaching process, the students become active participants rather than passive learners.Higher vocational education focuses on training the students’vocational capability; attaching great importance to improving their comprehensive abilities of practice, innovation, employment and career carving; calling for showing the features of profession, practice and openness. Nevertheless, the present network teaching platform in the vocational colleges can not fulfill such requirements. Therefore, according to the hardware facilities and teaching situation in HuLunBeiEr Vocational Technical College, to construct the network teaching platform for basic computer course in higher vocational colleges, which can meet the needs of training the students’vocational capability, is obviously important and urgent.This article introduces the developing background, situation and the future trend of this system, meanwhile making analysis and comparison on the developing mode, the platform and the language of it. The article describes the necessity of developing network teaching platform based on the training of vocational capability, defining the adoption of three B/S pattern,.NET environment, and SQL language to fulfill the needs of the system. Then it presents the multilayer architecture structure and NET frame, and mainly presents the critical technique involved in the platform’s developing process, such as ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and XML, etc. After detailed analysis of the demanding, the author designs the system’s architecture and function modules, and particularly describes the function and implementation of the concrete modules including system log-in, students management, courses issuing, examination manage work and online FAQ. In the end, it analyzes the safety and testing of the platform system and states the effectiveness of the research of the network teaching platform for basic computer course in higher vocational colleges. The development of the system is based on the operating platform of Windows2003server. The developing environment of Microsoft Visual Studio.NET is applied in the front desk, adopting the object-oriented programming designing method; while SQL Server2003relational data base is used to design and implement the network platform concretely in the background. During the implementation of the system, C#language is used to realize the algorithm, and is functioned by being transferred to the front desk in visualized environment. Therefore, the scheme of three layers software structure is accomplished.The network teaching platform is guided by working process in order to enable the teachers to supervise the students’active learning through it conveniently, instantly and efficiently, thus the students’course learning and vocational skills training can be performed under a simulation environment. It achieves the goal of the direct combination of teaching and the actual post requirement. It provides new ideas and ways for the goals of fostering high-quality personnel for the college, forming the academic characteristics and improving the Efficiency and the Quality of the college running. At the same time, it makes certain contributions to our society by training workers at the production line equipped with both theories and techniques and satisfying the social demand of talents. The implementation of the network platform provides teachers and the students with brand-new teaching mode and communicating space.
