How to improve enterprises’ core competitiveness, and the timelysharing of information and interaction with the customers, that will be the key to winning inthe competition in the market.In the modern supply chain management, IT plays an increasingly important role.Therefore, a large number of IT applications appears, such as E-commerce, SCM, CRM,EDI, RFID, logistics management with wireless PDA and so on. IT applications in thesupply chain management plays an active role in supporting and promoting.IT level of B steel processing and distribution company(be called Company B for shortas follow) is in a leading position in the domestic. The company has been theimplementation of the ERP system, including purchasing, sales, production, quality, storage,transportation, financial and other modules. But ERP systems solves only the internalsupply chain management, supply chain management among enterprises and enterprisesstill has not been resolved. Customers need to track orders, inventory, logistics, financialinformation. But all the business only through telephone, fax, e-mail and other traditionalways for information transfer. In this way, not only the information can not be timelytracking, but also work efficiency be reduced, information error probability be increased. Tosolve these problems, achieve the sharing of information between enterprises and customers,Company B is necessary to develop a E-Commerce platform for supply chain managementbetween enterprises and customers.I had the honor to participate in this project of Company B, decided to use the projectas a research topic. On the one hand we use information technology to solve the demand forCompany B, on the one hand we accumulate experience for other WEB-based supply chainmanagement on e-commerce platform development.By reading extensively on supply chain management, e-commerce, informationmanagement system,.NET platform, C#Programming, Oracle database, softwareengineering and other aspects of the literature, We have researched the requirements ofCompany B, then have written the functional requirements and program design plan. Company B wants to develop a information management system based on B/Sstructure, achieve information transfer and query online. Customers can directly submitorders online, track orders&inventory&financial information and so on. Meanwhile, thestaffs of Company B can receive customer’s online orders and confirm them in ERP system.Finaly, the system is developed on the basis of the B/S structure, all the program logiccode and data are stored on the server, the client only need to install the browser. We chooseSUN V890----the ERP database server of Company B as database server, Solaris10as OS,Oracle9i as the database software. The data between e-commerce database and ERPdatabase are exchanged by DBLINK. And we choose DELL2950III as WEB server,Windows Server2003as OS, IIS as the web services software. The entire system usesVisual Studio2005as the development environment, uses C#programming language,ASP.NET2.0platform and XML technology for development. In order to ensure thesecurity of system data, we think about it from hardware and software aspects. For example,we choose Juniper NetScreen-5200Firewall&Symantec NetBackup for IT security andbackup date.In the software development process, we use the methods of software engineering&object-oriented programming.The desired effect is obtained after the successful implementation of system. The staffof Company B&its customer always say good.I hope that through the study of this subject we can accumulate experience for otherWEB-based supply chain management on e-commerce platform development. |
