| The rate of the car accidents is increasing with the growing number of car that peopleown. And now people put forward higher requirements for driving safety. In order to meetthe requirement of people for car, a lot of automotive electronic control systems have beenused in the vehicle, such as ABS, ESP, TCS, ACC, and so on. In order to get the informationof the car, many sensors should be used to get the state of the car. The tire is an importantpart for the car. It transmits the forces and moments between tire and road, and the forcestate of the tire directly determines the driving state of the car. If we can use the sensor toperceive the deformation of the tire, we can get the force of the tire and the tire-roadadhesion status. This information can be fed back to the vehicle electronic control systemand make it determine the vehicle driving state more accurately, which will play animportant role in improving the driving safety of the vehicle. The tire fixed up the sensor is usually named intelligent tire. It is an important factor tochoose a suitable sensor to realize the function of intelligent tire. As a kind of intelligent tire, tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) is a useful technology to be used in the vehicleextensively. However, it is not enough for intelligent tire to just realize the tire pressuremonitor. In order to realize measuring the deformation of tire during tire rolling, a lot ofsensors have been tried to use in tire, such as SAW sensor, acceleration sensor, optical sensor. And certain achievement has been got.Considering the advantages of the PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) piezoelectric filmsensor suitable for using as the inner tire sensor in many aspects, we research using thePVDF piezoelectric film sensor to identify the tire-road status in this article. We expound thepiezoelectric property and the piezoelectric formula and verify the voltage outputcharacteristics of the PVDF sensor in different amplitudes through the experiments. The finite element model of tire based on the PVDF sensor is modeled and simulated in thearticle and we get the output voltage when PVDF sensor goes through the contact patch oftire. The second chapter introduces the piezoelectric effect and equation of the piezoelectricmaterials and builds experiment equipment to research the dynamic response characteristicsof the voltage output of the PVDF sensor. A theoretical model of the piezoelectric film isestablished. Using Abaqus software this part establishes a finite element model of the PVDFsensor and makes a simulation analysis. The third chapter describes the process of modeling the finite element model of the tirebased on the PVDF sensor. At first three-dimension finite element model of the tire ismodeled using the Abaqus software and is made inflating and loading analysis. Then thefinite model of the PVDF sensor is modeled into the inner surface of the finite elementmodel of tire. The tire model based on the PVDF sensor is analyzed on the different normalloads and the output voltage of the PVDF sensor and the strain in the inner tire surface isobtained during the sensor goes through with the tire contact patch. Then the tire modelbased on the PVDF sensor is simulated and analyzed under different longitudinal slip ratiosin the driving and braking status. And the curve of the voltage output is analyzedcomparatively under the same longitudinal slip ratio in the driving and braking status. The forth chapter builds the tire model based on the PVDF sensor during the sensor goesthrough with the tire contact patch. The model includes the bending model when the PVDFsensor gets into the contact patch and the stretching model when the PVDF sensor is in thecontact patch. The fifth chapter summaries the study works of the article and shows the next work. |
