Mobile Ad Hoc Network has the advantage of wireless, self-organizing, multi-hop, without a fixed infrastructure, however traditional wired network does not have these advantages, so Mobile Ad Hoc Network has been favored by the field of military communications, military field applications also contributed to the rapid development of mobile Ad hoc networks. Today, the demand for mobile Ad hoc networks are not limited to military applications, have attracted enough attention in the transportation, medical care, environmental protection and other fields. On the basis of introduced mobile Ad Hoc network routing protocols and mobile models, RPGM mobility model scenario generation tool has been writen, NS simulation tool has been used for the simulation and performance analysis of several typical routing protocols based on RPGM mobile modl. First, introducing the generation, characteristics and applications of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. Followed by the Mobile Ad Hoc Networks proactive routing protocols and on-demand routing protocols, a detailed analysis of several typical routing protocol of DSDV, DSR and AODV. Mobility model of mobile Ad Hoc networks、the typical mobile model RWP and RPGM have been introduced. The four Chapter introduces the tactical Internet and explaines the reasons that the tactical Internet use the Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. Finally, in Windows XP and Cygwin platform, NS-2.30is used for the simulation of DSDV, DSR and AODV several typical routing protocol based on the the RPGM mobile model and analysis of packet delivery ratio, average end-to-end delay, routing layer the number of packets and routing overhead these four indicators. Obtaining the Mobile Ad Hoc Network Routing Protocols that are more suitable for the tactical Internet.
