Iron inspection laboratory is the typical laboratory of metallurgy plant, the collection mode of traditional inspection laboratory data management system is developed for single inspection machine. With the traditional mode of point to point serial communication, communication speed, communication range and security are subject to certain restrictions, the dispersion of test equipment is to increase the integration of the internal network laboratories difficulty. The testing equipment is also relatively independent of the data that can not be achieved within the testing process laboratory data sharing. Serial communication mode and the original data acquisition system are unable to meet the high-speed requirements of the metallurgical industry laboratory and the data management requirements, but also to the great inconvenience of daily system maintenance. The Baosteel iron inspection laboratory data acquisition and management problems are discussed, Determined the Necessity of laboratory data management system development based on MOXA. On this basis, the laboratory data management system functions which based on the communication inspection equipments is discussed. Then iron laboratory data management system architecture and network deployment based on the MOXA are analyzed, and it is described method the that how to make the dynamic link library PCOMM on MOXA communication module for the secondary development, How to achieve with the laboratory information management system and two-way communication between the inspection equipment by MOXA are focused on mentioned, the simple way to achieve an equipment data-sharing platform which created by MOXA is also mentioned. Finally, system scalability and system analysis of investment returns.
