| Restaurant industry in China has made rapid development and huge contribution to national economy. To accelerate its faster development, with the purpose of promoting operational efficiency, lowering costs and improving competitiveness in market, this paper proposes the restaurant informationization solution.This paper took the clue of general processes of software products research and development, mainly discussed five sections including requirements analysis, architecture design, system functions design, deployment technology and secondary development technology. After the period of requirements analysis, totally 9 system roles were abstracted for restaurant staffs. Stationary station staffs are restaurant manager, financial staff, cashier, drinks service staff and table booker. Mobile station staffs are receptionist, menu service staff, dishes assignor and delivery staff. All these roles’business behaviors are described in detail by use cases diagrams. To meet these requirements, software system architecture was designed based on SOA. The architecture was discussed in five sections: application infrastructure, networking, data, management and security. Detailed system functions derived from the requirements were designed and implemented. Furthermore, dynamic deployment technology and Web Service interfaces for multi-systems communication were also developed.The restaurant system discussed in this paper is a general solution for full-scale restaurants. From front end (mobile terminals and desktop terminals) to back end (server networking portal, business processing center, querying server, printing server, and data center), it is developed as a typical N-Tier distributed system. The highlight inside it is the mobile terminals based on Windows Mobile platform, designed for mobile station staffs.The restaurant system discussed in this paper can meet kinds of restaurants by simple configurations, such as hotel restaurants, normal restaurants, bars, coffee rooms, teahouses and so on. It is a quality service designed, full-functional packaged, safe and stable system, and supports dynamic deployment. It can also be fine adapted as instances according to restaurant scalabilities. As a restaurant informationization platform, it is fully believed that it could build great supports for restaurant industry’s continuous flourish in China. |
