In Internet of Things era, the widespread uses of wireless sensor show hugedemand on security research of ZigBee protocol. On this background, this thesisstudies AES-128algorithm which applies the ZigBee protocol security mechanisms. On the basis of the realization of the AES-128encryption, it purposes some solutionsto improve the algorithm. Moreover, it also analyzes and designs to achieve theoptimized algorithm. By comparison of the results, it gets meaningful conclusions, and provides some help information for the further research on AES encryption anddecryption. The thesis firstly outlines the research background of the Internet of things, theorigin and development of wireless sensors and ZigBee protocol. Then it analyzes theprinciple of the AES-128algorithm and the adjustment of the decryption steps whichmakes the decryption algorithm symmetric compared with the encryption algorithm instructure. At last it implements the AES-128encryption and decryption algorithmusing C language. Based on simplicity and low cost of ZigBee protocol, the thesisstarts to analyze the simplicity and efficiency from the point of performances of thesecurity algorithms, to design and to realize two optimized algorithms through roundoperation optimization and the column confused optimization. Finally this thesiscomes to conclusion through comparison with original algorithm from points of thespeed and complexity. The analysis of test results shows that: two optimized algorithms are superior tothe non-optimized algorithm from the points of speed and complexity, and the speedand complexity of round operation optimized algorithm are better than that of thecolumn confusion optimized algorithm. This is the core content of the thesis and issignificant on further studying of the AES-128encryption in the future,...
