Based On The Design And Implementation Of The Smart Card Attendance System

The traditional attendance management method of mechanical punch card not only requires full-time staff to deal with the information, but also leads to problems of poor accuracy, information lag, etc., because of the manual operation. Obviously, it cannot meet nowadays’needs for information management of social enterprises. Therefore, there exists an urgent need for the new computer management system for attendance. In this paper, cored with smart card radio identification technology and computer technology, we design and build a novel attendance management system based on smart card. In the system, the IC card is used as identification to achieve the electronic management for attendance.According to the development model of software engineering, this paper analyzes the requirement, design and implementation of the attendance management system based on the operation and communication theory of smart card. Firstly, the paper gives the requirement analysis of the attendance management system, including the analysis of attendance service process and the corresponding functional requirement. Secondly, the paper designs the main function modules and database of the system, including a specific function module design, and further achieved the main functions of the attendance management system on the basis of requirement analysis, by the means of practical test. Finally, the paper analyzes the problems encountered in the implementation and gives the further work.With the Attendance Management System been put into use, the efficiency of Attendance management has been greatly improved, reflecting on the improved search efficiency of attendance data. Our proposed system significantly reduces the faults of management, lowers the cost of management and brings better economic efficiency for the company. Meanwhile, the system saves time for inquiry users and wins the praise of customers.
