Mine underground personnel positioning algorithm has been one of the focuses of research in the field of mine safety monitoring, because it is directly related to the high rescue accuracy and efficiency as well as the life safety of mine workers after the mine accidents. In order to solve the problems such as the low positioning accuracy, the need for additional hardware and poor anti-environmental interference capability of existing underground personnel positioning algorithm, considering the variable environment and the special structure of mines, the underground linear tunnel model is established, then a new kind of underground personnel positioning algorithm:RSS step-division integration algorithm is researched. A large number of simulation studies have verified the effectiveness of the positioning algorithm.Firstly, the basic principles of the wireless sensor network positioning are introduced, the basic principles of wireless sensor network positioning as well as the present research situations and trends of underground personnel positioning algorithms are analyzed through the literature review, pointing out the main problem faced by underground personnel positioning and analyzing ZigBee technology application status in the underground personnel positioning system.Secondly, several common short-range wireless communication technologies are introduced, in which the ZigBee technology is analyzed deeply, and based on the above research, the mine underground ZigBee wireless network is built. Soon afterwards, according to different nodes in the network functions the hardware architectures and software architectures of nodes are designed.Then, the present positioning algorithms are comprehensivly analyzed and contrasted. In order to solve the problems produced by RSSI-based ranging algorithms applying to mine underground, a new type of underground personnel positioning algorithm is proposed. It contains RSSI positioning, scene fingerprinting positioning technology with maximum likelihood estimation methods. Fingerprint positioning technology region error judgement rate and positioning accuracy caused by the RSSI ranging errors are reduced by multitude correction and diagonal difference correction. Naive Bayesian probability estimate is used to achieve the initial positioning and the diagonal difference correction algorithm is used to achieve precise positioning of mine underground personnel.Finally, a large number of simulation experiments are conducted to compare RSS step-division integration algorithm with WCL positioning algorithm and NNSS fingerprint positioning algorithm. The results show that this research algorithm has many advantages, including high positioning accuracy, anti-random interference, and so on.
