With the modern development of the pneumatic technology, industrialapplication of the pneumatic solenoid valve in the field is increasingly widen,especially the pneumatic high-speed solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is theexecutor of the movement in automatic control system. Though in a supporting role,it plays a decisive role in the system safety. Existing domestic testing equipment ofthe solenoid valve have a complex structure and single testing function; andadvanced testing equipment abroad can not widely used in the solenoid valvemanufacturers inland. Therefore, it is important to develop a set of performancetesting system to ensure the quality of the pneumatic solenoid. In this paper, a set ofpneumatic solenoid valve performance detector based on the embedded technology isdeveloped, which is realized to test the dynamic response characteristics, startingpressure and leakage of the pneumatic solenoid valve, such as two-position two-way,two position three-way, two-position five-way and three-position five-way solenoidvalves. The main research contents are as follows:(1) First, the structure and working mechanism of the pneumatic solenoid valveis analyzed with the two-position three-way solenoid valve as an example. From atheoretical point of view, operating characteristics of the solenoid valve is in-depthanalyzed and comprehended. And the dynamic response characteristic of the solenoidvalve is simulated by using Simulink emulation technique. Then, design scheme ofthe solenoid valve is established referring to industrial standard of solenoid valveinland.(2) A set of pneumatic high-speed solenoid valve performance detector isdeveloped adopted the ARM-based embedded technology, and is realized to test thedynamic response characteristics, starting pressure and leakage of the pneumatichigh-speed solenoid valve. The detector is mainly composed by the ARM-basedembedded hardware platform, Windows CE embedded operating system applicationsoftware and the corresponding gas path composition.(3) Firstly, it is analyzed that the response speed of the hardware part of thecontrol system is0.114ms, which can meet the required response time in ms-class high-speed solenoid valve; Then, by giving input signal to the system, it is analyzedthat pressure measurement accuracy of the system is less than5kPa, and themaximum collected signal frequency is10kHz, which meet the technicalrequirements. A lot of experiment on two-position three-way valve, two-positionfive-way valve and three-position five-way valve are completed to analyze theresponse speed of the hardware control part and pressure measurement accuracy byusing the evaluation methods I of the MSA(measurement system analysis).Reference to JB/T10633-2006—‘special test equipment evaluation method guide’,system measurement capability indexes (Cg, Cgk) are both no less than1.33aftercalculating, which meet the equipment repeatability acceptance and requirementsamong JB/T10633-2006.(4) Through lots of experiments on various types of solenoid valves air pressureof100kPa~700kPa and driving voltage of19V~29V, influence on the solenoid valvedynamic response characteristics that produced by the air pressure and drivingvoltage is analyzed, which provides a basis for improvement of the dynamic responsecharacteristics of pneumatic solenoid valve.
