In order to solve the problems that the optical tracker has in actual use, the paper was designed the optical tracker simulation training system based on the visual simulation technology. It can be used to detect the optical tracker’s capability and train the operator. It’s used computer to set the flying target’s path and speed, the computer can generate the scene and the target by using the image generation technology. And the scene and the target can be sent to the optical image generator by wireless transmitter module,then the projection image will be generated in the optical image generator. And the image is received by TV camera which is fixed on the optical tracker, finally, it is send to the optical display and control units. The operator can see a realistic picture on the optical display and control units. He can control the stick to track the target, then the pointing device’s information can be sent to the simulation computer, the computer adjust the target and show the information about the pointing device’s and the target’s.The paper used Three-dimensional modeling soft to make the Three-dimensional model. And the model is the OpenFlight’s file. Vega Prime is used to control the target’s path and speed. The experiments proved that this training system can provide a realistic picture. And formed a closed-loop system through the simulation computer and the optical tracker.
